Do you know how kimono are made? How about the clothes that we wear every day? In this workshop, let’s learn more about textiles and fabric while having fun! Try making your own original bracelet on a handmade loom using a simple hira-ori handweaving technique!
This workshop corresponds with the Hands-on Fureai Room Experience Kit No. 21 called “What We Can Learn from Clothes.” Let's learn about the wisdom of our ancestors through a study of Okinawan clothing — including an examination of the ingenious use of design, color, pattern, and weaving technique.
