On a small round table sits a square container filled with fish of different shapes and sizes.

Among them, the bright red fish in the center stands out vividly against the calm, muted colors of the background.

Also placed on the table are onions, a glass, and a piece of blue cloth spread casually underneath.

Although the painting is done with quick, lively brushstrokes, each object is carefully distinguished in form and texture.

The composition recalls a Western-style still life, yet through the use of familiar, everyday materials, Haebaru expresses his own unique perspective and sensibility.
