How did the rocks, the first children born on Earth, come into being?
Let's take a peek at the secrets of how rocks were created!
Pyrite, which produces beautiful cubic crystals!
Is that a rock? What? And this? Yes! If rock minerals were to disappear from this world, our lives would be drastically changed.
Rock minerals are also hidden in "????" in your bag!
What is the image of "Okinawa"? Blue skies and seas and unusual creatures and plants? No, no, no! And that's not all! There are many types of rock minerals spread out underneath our feet. What's more, each remote island has its own unique rock mineral! By examining the rocks and minerals of the islands, you can even see the "history of the islands".
Stone is so close to us!
4.6 billion years after the birth of the earth, we humans were finally born. In this chapter, we focus on the relationship between humans and rocks. Rocks have appeared in many situations, sometimes as daily necessities, sometimes as a tool for praying.
Throughout our long relationship with rocks and minerals, we have studied and used them to understand the earth's past. And now! Humans are trying to reveal even "the possible future" from rocks. Rocks are still shrouded in many mysteries, and the one who can reveal the secrets of 4.6 billion years of activity is you...maybe.
We're going to take a geo-tour out of the museum and get to know the rocks!
We'll update the related events on the Rocks exhibition's page as details are finalized! Look forward to it!
