We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.


In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum would like to request that all visitors take the following precautions to prevent further spread of the disease:

- Visitors displaying flu or cold symptoms such as fever, cough, etc. should visit the doctor before visiting the museum.
- Visitors who feel unwell during their visit should inform our staff immediately.
- There are hand sanitizers provided in the museum building.
- Wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water.

Leo Lionni (1910-1999) is an author well known in Japan for his picture book Swimmy. In this exhibition, we retrace his eventful life of travel between Europe and America while overlapping with his work. We introduce his wide range of projects including his time as a picture book author, art director, painter and sculptor.
