ISHIMINE Takashi and HESHIKI Kenshichi
Born before and after the end of the war, Photographers ISHIMINE Takashi (1945‐1993) and HESHIKI Kenshichi (1948‐2009) both lived in post-war Okinawa. Throughout their lives, they continued to photograph anonymous Okinawan civilians. The two of them introduce various aspects of Okinawa such as the people, the lifestyle, and the scenery through a monochrome lens.
