In celebration of the Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum’s 10th anniversary, this exhibit is a collection of paintings from artists active during the tumultuous period from the 1930s to World War II, with a focus on Choukou Haebaru (1904-1961), an Okinawan-born painter who traveled between Okinawa and Taiwan to continue his works.
