The Art Museum Collection Exhibition consists of modern and contemporary artwork collected by the museum. The art is created mainly by artists who are from or connected with Okinawa, as well as artists from other Asian countries. The exhibitions are mainly of collection pieces based on specific themes such as “new collection series,” and chronological displays of Okinawan art. Visitors can view attractive Okinawa-themed artwork by artists from within and outside of the prefecture, and by immigrant Okinawan artists.
