In 2015, Shigeru Mizuki (1922 – 2015) departed for the other world at the age of 93. He authored popular manga series such as Gegege no Kitaro, Akuma-kun (Devil Boy), and Sanpei no Kappa, and was also a highly-regarded yokai (other-worldly creature) researcher. This exhibit will display Mizuki’s studies from when he was young, sketches he drew at battlefields, manuscripts of his manga and artworks, as well as his essay manuscripts and personal items.
